Norvin Green

Norvin is a Silicon Valley veteran with extensive experience in starting technology companies. He heads up the Stage One development team for the Microsoft Windows platform, in addition to leading the database design and development group. Norvin works closely with Stage One clients to design and build powerful web-based intranets and portals.

For more than 20 years, Norvin has been designing, programming and maintaining complex software systems. His programming experience includes user interfaces, networking and data communications, databases and transaction management systems. His work has spanned both UNIX and Windows platforms and a variety of development environments.

Norvin spent many of his early years at Motorola’s Computer Division, where he worked on the company’s UNIX kernel, ported applications to the Motorola platform and developed graphical user interfaces (GUI) for desktop applications. Norvin then worked with the Stage One management team at Siren Software, a firm that developed and sold Internet email systems on UNIX, PC and Macintosh platforms starting in 1991, several years before the explosion of Internet use. In recent years, Norvin has focused his work on Internet standards, including Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), the important architectural foundation of Stage One’s current web development work.
